Overview
ValueSupply Technologies Inc., an Ontario corporation ("ValueSupply," "we," "us," or "our"), operates NameTale and nametale.com (the "Site"). ValueSupply is the organization responsible for personal information submitted through the Site.
We collect only the information needed to respond to domain inquiries and, with consent, understand aggregate use of the Site.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you submit an inquiry through our form, we collect:
- Email address (required)
- Proposed amount (optional)
- Message content (optional)
This information is used solely to process your domain inquiry and respond to you.
Analytics Data
We use Umami and Vercel Web Analytics, privacy-focused analytics services, to understand how visitors use our Site.
- Without your consent: Neither analytics script is loaded and no analytics request is sent.
- With your consent: Umami records aggregate page views, device and approximate location information, standard UTM campaign parameters, a small set of interactions such as searches, comparisons, shortlist changes, and inquiry progress, and performance measurements such as loading speed, responsiveness, and visual stability. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page views and related route, referrer, device, browser, and approximate location information. Both operate without analytics cookies or cross-site tracking.
- Data we exclude: Before page-view URLs are sent to either service, we remove fragments and all query values except standard UTM campaign parameters. We do not send raw search text, saved-filter names, the contents of a shortlist, email addresses, offer amounts, or messages as analytics event data. Interaction events remain associated with the public page where they occur.
Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage to save:
- Watchlist: Domain names you bookmark for later viewing
- Filter preferences: Your saved search filter settings
- Introduction preference: Whether you have already viewed the library introduction
- Cookie consent: Your analytics consent preference
These preferences are stored locally rather than in a user account. When you open a watchlist, comparison, or filtered catalogue, the necessary public-domain identifiers and filter choices are sent to our Site to load the requested results; we do not store them as a personal profile.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and respond to domain inquiries
- Notify our team of your inquiry and respond to you by email
- Understand aggregate site usage and improve our service
We do not use your information for marketing purposes. We will never send you unsolicited emails beyond responding to your specific inquiry.
Third-Party Services
We use the following service providers solely to operate the Site:
Resend
Email delivery service. Every valid acquisition inquiry triggers a team notification through Resend containing the domain, proposed amount when supplied, email address, and message. Resend Privacy Policy
Umami
Privacy-focused web analytics that is contacted only after consent. It collects cookieless usage data without cross-site tracking, uses rotating session identifiers, and does not store raw IP addresses. Umami Privacy Policy
Turso
Database hosting. Every valid acquisition inquiry is stored in our Turso-hosted database with the submitted domain identifier, email address, proposed amount when supplied, and message. Turso Privacy Policy
Vercel
Site hosting, image storage, and consent-gated Web Analytics. Like any hosting provider, Vercel processes standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL to deliver and protect the Site. After consent, its Web Analytics service also receives the cookieless aggregate usage data described above. Vercel Privacy Policy
Google Fonts
Some catalogue typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. The browser therefore sends standard request metadata, including the visitor's IP address, to Google when those typefaces are requested. Google Privacy Policy
External image providers
Some domain artwork may be delivered from a public HTTPS image host selected by us. That host receives standard request metadata needed to return the image; our image requests are configured not to send the page address as a referrer.
If you choose to proceed after an inquiry, information you provide directly to Afternic or Escrow.com is handled under that partner's privacy policy and transaction terms. The Site does not automatically send inquiry-form data to either partner.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Data Retention
Inquiry submissions are retained in our database for as long as necessary to complete the domain transaction or inquiry. If you would like your inquiry data deleted, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.
The analytics reports available to us use rotating session identifiers rather than persistent visitor profiles. Standard UTM parameters may be retained for campaign reporting; other URL query values and fragments are removed. Hosting providers may still process standard request metadata as described above.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
- Objection: Object to processing of your data
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw analytics consent at any time via the cookie settings on our Site
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@nametale.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
By default, we do not set analytics cookies or load the Umami or Vercel Web Analytics scripts. Your consent choice is stored only in your browser's local storage.
If you consent, both services run without analytics cookies, and Umami honors your browser's Do Not Track setting. We retain standard UTM campaign parameters and remove other page URL query values and fragments before analytics data is sent.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer, or by clearing your browser's local storage.
Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
